Not water-soluble

Water alone will not touch this stain; it needs an absorbent, surfactant or solvent stage.

Heat sets it

Keep hot water, steam and dryers away until the curry is fully out — heat fixes it permanently.

Fresh vs dried-in

Curry is really a turmeric dye stain: curcumin bonds to fibre on contact, so even a fresh splash usually leaves a yellow ghost after cleaning. The one quirk in your favour is that curcumin breaks down in ultraviolet light, so residual yellowing often fades in strong daylight over days or weeks.
